Kep Track

The Kep Track is a multi-use track (hike/bike/horse) that begins at Mundaring Weir and finishes at Northam.

The Track is around 75km in length and by foot would take around 4-5 days to complete.  If you walk the track "one way" it is recommended that you complete the return journey via train.  The Prospector train from Northam/Perth passes through the beautiful Avon Valley.

The Kep Track is part of the National Trust of Australia (WA) Golden Pipeline project to commemorate the water supply pipeline built in the 1890's to pump water to Kalgoorlie.

The Track follows the gentle gradient of the railway reserve but does spend some time along side the pipeline itself.  This is an intrepretive walk, with information about the pipeline's history to enjoy along the way.

There are no campsites along the Track.  It is expected that walkers stay in hotels, bed & breakfast or youth hostels along the way.

More information is available via the a pdf brochure of the track available below or at www.keptrack.com.au.
